A few weeks ago I put down my thought on these two series. They each began recently and since summer TV is mostly not new, having something new is refreshing.
I watched the 2nd new episode of Hex on BBC and I would have to say it was better than the 1st. I’m still not sure where the series is heading and since I try not to look on British sites about the series I’ll wait to be surprised.
You may start wondering, did I see the 3rd. No I missed that one since on VH1 at the same time there was a story on the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival which I watched instead. I’ll have to wait until BBC America repeats it this coming weekend.
Pirate Master
While I am still wondering whether some of the speeches are scripted, especially at the cast off cermony, I enjoyed both the 2nd and 3rd episodes. Some of the people on there has been getting little screen time, does this mean they will get it later, and others are getting a lot.
I have almost had my share of Louis though. On the first show I liked him and was rooting for him. But as the show has progressed he seems more of a loudmouth redneck.
I’ll continue to watch both, but I’m not going to make plans around either of them. They aren’t on my Must See list.
