The View is a Bit Clearer

By Steven G. Atkinson | Sep 29, 2007

At the beginning of the baseball day, the National League Playoff teams looked very muddy with as many as seven teams with a shot at one of the four spots.  By the end of play it was much clearer.

Chicago won their game and Milwaukee lost theirs.  That gave the Cubs the division and pushed the Brewers out of any possible shot at the playoffs.

Arizona also has a spot, although it’s not known whether it’d be the Western Division Champ of Wild Card.  The Padres won staying one game out of first.  The Colorado Rockies lost though which pushed them to the blink of elimination.

And in the East the Phillies have moved into sole procession of first place when they won and the Mets Lost.  It’s not looking good for the Mets, since now they’ve put it all in the hands of the Phillies.

It could all be over but the shouting after today’s games.
