Life Gets in The Way

Many times we start something with an intention of continuing until it reaches a natural conclusion.  It was with this thought that I started this blog.  I had the intention of getting up each morning and place some thoughts on the previous day here. It would either have been things that happened to me or more likely something that happen in the world that struck a cord.

Unfortunately this hasn’t happened.  I’ve had a few starts. Even a few times when new posts came at a fairly regular basis.  But looking back on this it’s been more of a failure than a success.

And to be purely honest with anyone who may read this, I’m not sure it’s going to be any better in the near future.  As the saying goes; ‘life gets in the way’.  And since this is more for fun that trying to make a living, this will be one of those blogs that I will add things as time allows.

There are a couple of places I do plan on being more regular than here.  These are a few of the sites that I am working one, that does relate more to what I’m doing to make a living. What I’m doing to make ends meet.  What I’m doing to survive.

6 Things to Consider at 6thingstoconsider.com is one such site.  There I write 6 paragraphs about a random subject (many times related to the date of the post) six days a week.  On average, believe it or not, it takes about 2 hours to research,  write, prepare and edit each post.  Even then there are mistakes that I discover days, weeks and even months later.

I’m far from perfect.

Another site is SMBTechTips.com.  At this site I post information about technology as it relates to Small and Mid-sized Business, SMB’s.  The information posted there comes from over 25 years of experience in the technology field, many of them dealing with small offices and their telecommunications.

A third is a tourism based website for the Delmarva Peninsula.  I call the Delmarva Peninsula home and I’m proud to live there.  It’s a beautiful place, as well as one where tourism is one of it’s biggest resource.  ShoreToBeFun.com is a website that I’m working on that will give information about Events happening on the peninsula as well as information on the History and the Heritage of the area.

What will happen here?  I’m not totally sure at this moment.  I like the idea of doing a Reflection on Yesterday, and I love the title Yesterday’s Coffee, so I don’t plan for this to go away.

What may happen is that I will cross post between this site and one of my others with an occasional post here that directly reflects on something that struck a real nerve in me and need to let it out.

I will try to keep this promise that at least once a week something will be posted here and not the once a month posts that so far has been what’s been on here.

Let’s see what this leads to and for now just take a break to a drink a cup of Yesterday’s Coffee.
