New Oriole is an Old One

By | Jan 25, 2010

It seems as if Miguel Tejada is headed back to the Baltimore Orioles. And once again the O’s will be moving a Short Stop to Third. Wonder of it’ll be as successful as the last time.

That time is was Cal Ripkin. Unless you consider putting the utility player Melvin Mora there.

Tejada must be some what attached to the Orioles. Even though he has played the past 2 seasons in Houston as the Astro’s Short Stop, those years were the last one of the contract he signed with the Orioles when he came here in six years ago.

Now it’s a one year contract.

Will it work out?

When Tejada’s head was in the game he was one of the league’s better players. But it appeared that the last year he was on the team, he was only going through the motions. Not to many fans complained when he was traded. Me included.

I think it’s a good move. At least now they have a player on third that may be productive while we are waiting for Bell to finish his move through the Minors to become what many are hoping will be the O’s third Baseman for years to come.
