A Surprised Idol

By | May 17, 2007

I guess too many people were watching the old Idol stars at the Country Awards.  Either that or they weren’t watching the showdown of three.  Now it’s down to the final two, with last nights shocker.  Melinda Doolittle, the one that looked to have it locked up from the beginning went down.

The two that I thought was going to be in the finals were the two voted out these past two weeks.  But if last years third place finalist can have an album out and guest on this years show then we may see Melinda back this time next year doing the same.  She should be.

I can understand and accept  Jordon  Sparks making the final.  She has vastly improved over the course of the season and I said a few weeks ago that it wouldn’t surprised me if she endsup winning the whole thing.  And that’s still how I feel.

As for Blake Lewis,he may have been the best of the male singers on the show. But I didn’t think there were any great ones in that bunch.  Good but not Great.  I really felt that there were at least five of the girls that were better than were better than any of the guys.  But they got voted out early.

So the one thing to say about this years Idol, while the voting shocked me, I have not been surprised.  Nor was I last night.  But let’s all vote for Jordan to be ‘Our Next American Idol’.
