A Hero Takes a Fall

By | May 22, 2007

I watched the last episode for the season of Heroes with excitement.  This was a show when they ran the previews last summer I didn’t have a desire to see.  However I watched the first episode, not on NBC but when it was shown later on the Sci-Fi Channel and simply put I was hooked.  It was one of the few shows I planned my day around to watch, not once but twice a week.

I came away with the view that some people will be excited with the way it ended and others will be angered.  A couple of favorite characters will die, one I’m sure everyone will like since we like to see the bad guy get it in the end. Some others will have their fate unknown.

One thing I can say about it, there are still questions that weren’t answered and others that came up. But if they answered them all would there be a reason to tune back next year?

I felt a little disappointed with the ending, but I wasn’t surprised.  I suppose that reading too many Internet posts dealing with the finale with one of them telling the end almost exactly, kept me from being surprised.

All in all the series was good and I’m looking forward to next year.  I sure want to see what happens with Hiro and the past.

Its weird. The show was so well done, and really kept you locked in all season, but the last 10 minutes were really pretty anti-climactic. I expect much more of a battle between Sylar and Peter. And why was it so easy for Hiro to stab Sylar? I’ll definetaly be back for next season, but it was a little dissapointing.

You stated it perfectly. I think it would have been better if they had played the story out a little longer and made it a 2 hour finale. The last 10 minutes seemed to have been rushed.

A few questions that hit me.
Why didn’t Peter didn’t just fly away?
What’s the deal with Peter’s and Nathan’s mother?
Why did Nicki/Jessica need to be there? It just didn’t seem quite right when she hit Sylar with the lamp post.

I’m in for next year. I hope it’s as good if not better than this one.
