The Barista Basics Workshop<\/strong> is a hands-on morning, running for around 2.5 hours and you will be working on the espresso machine at Two Chimps HQ. There will be just a small group of coffee lovers on each course to ensure that each student has the devoted attention and guidance from our on-site barista.<\/p>\n To begin, we will start with an introduction to speciality coffee, how it\u2019s grown, processed and ethically sourced. To follow, we will talk about the coffee roasting process and what we do here at Two Chimps Coffee<\/strong>. Don\u2019t worry; we won\u2019t keep you from the barista machine for too long as we know you\u2019ll be itching to have a play!<\/p>\n Into the training room we go\u2026 All good drinks made by a barista start with the love in your life\u2026 the Coffee! This is a great place to start; all good drinks need a good shot of espresso. We will dose, tame, tamp and extract espresso with you and talk about how to spot over and under extraction.<\/p>\n This will lead to changing your coffee to water ratio to achieve different espresso \u2018style\u2019 shots along with a brief introduction to steaming and texturizing milk.<\/p>\n We will finish with a \u2018drinks-off\u2019, explaining the differences between the popular drinks and how to make them.
